You deserve a smile you love

Gentle, expert orthodontic solution in Melbourne

What is Invisalign®?

Invisalign® is a clear, comfortable alternative to braces that straightens your teeth using a series of custom-made removable aligners. You’ll wear each set of aligners for one to two weeks, or as directed by your dentist. As you progress through the treatment, your teeth will gradually move into their ideal position, creating a beautiful, straight smile.

Benefits of Invisalign®

Our patients love Invisalign® clear aligners for several reasons. Their benefits over traditional braces include:

Aesthetic

As the name suggests, Invisalign® aligners are practically invisible in the mouth, which may be of particular interest to adults to allow for little interference in your day-to-day social and professional settings.

Removable

Unlike traditional braces, you can remove the aligners when you eat, and brush and floss your teeth. This makes cleaning much easier, thereby reducing your susceptibility to tooth decay, white spots and gum disease.

Comfort

The smooth, thin aligner trays are custom designed to your teeth, eliminating any rough or protruding areas and providing a comfortable fit free of irritation to your lips, cheeks and other areas of your mouth. It is also less painful and more tolerable than traditional braces.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How long does Invisalign treatment take?
The duration of Invisalign® treatment can vary depending on the complexity of your case. On average, treatment ranges from 6 months to 3 years. During your initial consultation, we will give you a more accurate estimate based on your unique smile goals and the alignment of your teeth.
Q: How often do I need to wear the aligners?
You will need to wear your aligners for at least 22 hours each day in order for them to be fully effective. This means, you should only take out your aligners when you are eating and when you are brushing and flossing your teeth.

For hygiene reasons, we encourage patients to brush and rinse their aligners at least twice a day with a normal toothbrush. This will also help prevent your aligners from staining and turning yellow, which can occur over time due to certain habits such as drinking coffee or wine regularly and smoking.
Q: How much does Invisalign® cost?
As a guide, Invisalign® treatment typically ranges from $3,500 - $7,500 and is dependent on the treatment type and time required, as well as the complexity of the case and your smile goals. On your initial consultation, we will give you a clear cost estimate based on your specific needs and offer flexible payment options to help make your smile goals affordable.
Q: How do I get started with Invisalign®?
If you would like to speak with one of our dentists to learn more about Invisalign, we are currently offering a Complimentary Express Consultation for new patients.

During this free 20-minute appointment, the dentist will take the time to understand your key areas of concern and complete an assessment of your teeth, gums and bite. Our dentists will then walk you through the orthodontic options best suited for your needs and help answer any questions you may have.

To book your appointment, simply fill out our inquiry form or contact us at 9689 4477.
Q: Are there other alternatives to Invisalign®?
Yes! In addition to Invisalign®, we also offer in-house clear aligners as an effective and afforadable alternative.

Our in-house aligners are custom-made on-site by our experienced team of dental professionals, allowing us to closely monitor your progress and make adjustments as needed. They are often more affordable than Invisalign® and, in many cases, can lead to faster results because we have full control over the production and adjustment process.

For more severe cases, we may recommend traditional braces as a more appropriate treatment to achieve the best outcome. Whether it’s traditional braces, Invisalign®, or in-house aligners, we’ll guide you through the decision-making process to find the treatment that best suits your needs.
Q: What payment options are available?
Flexible Payment Options
At Fine Smiles Dental, we accept cash, eftpos and credit cards (Visa, Mastercard and AMEX)

Health Funds / Private Health Insurance
Our clinic is a preferred provider for HCF and accepts all major dental insurance plans. We offer HICAPS on-site which allows you to instantly claim from your private health insurance on the spot

Payment Plans
We also offer affordable payment plans for cosmetic and specialised dental treatment. After your first consultation, your dentist will be happy to discuss these options with you.
